Last Thursday, members of CDIF-UPC, EPIC-UPC and LEMUR-UNIOVI met at Escola d’Enginyeria de Barcelona Est (Diagonal-Besòs Campus, UPC) for FLEXHYBAT’s 3rd Periodical Meeting.
The session included a series of presentations on hybridisation with batteries, battery degradation, and integration of hybrid systems to the grid, as well as a visit to EPIC-UPC’s Batteries Laboratory, guided by Victoria Julia Ovejas and Àngel Cuadras.
The Laboratory includes a battery cycler acquired thanks to FLEXHYBAT that will allow the researchers to understand how batteries used in hybridising hydropower stations degrade.
The event was a very fruitful exchange of insights on the project’s progress and next steps.
